The Artist

Neil Ahern is an acclaimed tattoo artist, influencer, designer, mentor and story teller. Always after the perfect line, his style is never boxed off, but rather prides itself on old techniques and ethics. He is a deep soul with a bounty of knowledge in many areas, spanning varying genres, all in aid of his artistic arsenal.

The Story

His initial training included three years in Germany before the travelling circuit began and the refinement of his craft. London -New York- Asia- Ibiza were the spots. Neil is one of the modern day rock and roll gypsies that has carved out their own lifestyle and own way.

The Ink

To Neil, each and every client is equally as important - staying true to his roots, it is all about old techniques and ethics, never cutting corners to achieve the desired end result. Creating incredible pieces; some small, some vast, some detailed, but all meaningful to the wearer - there is an old wives tale that friends and supermodels have waited years to earn even the smallest of markings.

The ‘delic

So with grand talent and living on an island comes some fun. Purveyors of style often land in his chair. Fashion photographers Mert & Marcus, designer Marc Jacobs, and friends Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, in addition to thousands of clients flying in or yachting in for his clean lines and direct bedside manor. Music too, plays a massive role in the day-to-day runnings of Inkadelic, usually loud and alongside respected producers, musicians, and DJs. Mark Ronson and David Morales are among many others regularly commissioning work from Neil.

Outside of his primary art form, Neil’s renown talent continues to evolve in other art mediums, resulting in collaborations with Purdey, Jade Jagger for Garrard, and of course Pro Hunter.

In 2015 an artist’s world is fast, connected, and wide open but Inkadelic is still doing things their own way 25 years later.
